According to foreign media TEHLEC news, the OLED panels of the iPhone 12 series released by Apple a few days ago are provided by Samsung and LG Display. Three of them are provided by Samsung and the other one is provided by LG Display.

Analysts predict that by the end of this year, iPhone12 production is expected to reach 70 million units. Assuming that the number of panels manufactured is 10 percent more than the number of finished products, the output of OLED panels is expected to reach 80 million. LG Display is expected to deliver 20 million OLED panels, and Samsung Display will deliver 60 million.

Compared with last year, Samsung Display has increased by 20 percent from 50 million to 60 million, while LG Display has quadrupled from 5 million to 20 million. LG Display, which suffered losses for six consecutive quarters, turned losses into profits in the third quarter, which was also affected by the supply of iPhone 12 OLED panels.

Apple has been equipped with a liquid crystal display (LCD) for the iPhone series until 2017, and subsequently equipped the iPhone X with OLED for the first time. Starting next year, OLED iPhone sales are expected to exceed half. Morgan Stanley predicted last week that next year's iPhone shipments will increase by about 10 percent to 220 million units.
